Sadiq Khan agrees to text searches in lawsuit over blocked £50m police deal

US tech firm Palantir took the mayor to court after he stopped them from selling artificial intelligence tools to Scotland Yard in May. Lawyers will now comb through his WhatsApps, texts and emails, along with messages from his former communications director Sarah Brown. His policing team argues the abandoned agreement broke public buying rules because officers only properly considered a single company.
