Russian warship fired artillery near Plymouth on Monday

On Monday, a Russian frigate conducted a live-fire artillery drill only 40 nautical miles south of Plymouth. The Royal Navy monitored the 30-minute exercise, which took place in international waters, and continues to track the vessel closely. Before firing, the Russian warship Neustrashimy asked HMS Tyne, a Royal Navy patrol vessel, to move to a safer distance.
