Russian strikes kill at least eight in Kyiv before NATO summit

Russian forces launched ballistic missiles and drones at Kyiv on Monday, killing at least eight people and injuring dozens. The attack happened just before a NATO summit in Ankara, Turkey, where leaders will discuss the war in Ukraine. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky had warned on Sunday that Russia was preparing another large-scale strike.
