Russian oil cuts Cuba power cuts for now

Fewer blackouts have brought short-term relief for millions of Cubans after months of rolling power cuts. A 100,000 metric ton shipment of Russian oil, delivered by the tanker Anatoly Kolodkin in late March, began being distributed from the Cienfuegos refinery on April 17. Energy Minister Vicente de la O Levy said the remaining fuel would last only until the end of the month.
