Russia and China Targeting UK Democracy via Social Media

Philip Rycroft's independent review warned the UK is experiencing information warfare, with Russia, China and Iran accused of using social media disinformation to generate conflict and distrust among voters. The review found foreign interference is real and persistent. In response, Prime Minister Keir Starmer's government announced a moratorium on political donations made via cryptocurrency.
