Russell Brand denies two new sexual offence charges

Russell Brand pleaded not guilty at Southwark Crown Court on Tuesday to two additional charges of rape and sexual assault linked to alleged incidents in 2009. The comedian and actor had already denied five separate sexual offence charges involving four women between 1999 and 2005. A trial over the earlier allegations is set for June. A judge will now decide whether the latest charges will be combined with the existing case.
