Essex train derailment causes week-long disruption for passengers

A train derailment in Wickford, Essex, on Friday caused extensive damage to 1.5 miles of track and infrastructure. Over 60 passengers were on board a Greater Anglia train travelling from Southend Victoria to London Liverpool Street, but none were hurt. Rail replacement buses are running between Billericay and Hockley, and between Wickford and Southminster.
