Ronnie O'Sullivan, 50, seeks eighth world title

Snooker legend Ronnie O'Sullivan is attempting to secure a record-breaking eighth World Championship, a feat that would see him surpass Stephen Hendry, who also holds seven titles in the modern era. The 50-year-old, who won his first title in 2001, begins his latest quest against Chinese debutant He Guoqiang at the 17-day tournament. O'Sullivan recently compiled a 153 break at last month's World Open in China, a score that sets the all-time record for professional snooker.
