Report says Heathrow third runway shifts jobs from regions

A third Heathrow runway would pull about 15,200 aviation jobs away from other UK regions by 2050, including 9,500 tied to Birmingham Airport, according to New Economics Foundation analysis of Department for Transport modelling published on Monday. The 33 billion pound project would raise annual flights from 480,000 to 756,000. The government disputes the findings and says expansion supports 60,000 local jobs.
