Rare spider returns to Isle of Wight after decades
A tiny wolf spider species not seen in the UK since 1985 was discovered on the Isle of Wight by two researchers. The spider, known for its pale mouth markings, was found in a remote area only reachable by boat. Conservation work, including sheep grazing, has helped restore the spider’s habitat and made its return possible.
