RAF jets intercept Russian plane near UK carrier
Royal Air Force F-35s last week intercepted a Russian Bear-F warplane that had made multiple approaches toward a British carrier strike group in the Norwegian Sea. Many tracking buoys were released by the Russian aircraft in the vicinity of HMS Prince of Wales, an action the Ministry of Defence characterized as "unsafe and unprofessional." The UK's Carrier Strike Group took part in Arctic Sentry, a NATO exercise designed to enhance security throughout the North Atlantic and Arctic areas.
