Rachel Reeves tells G7 to invest more in clean energy.
UK Chancellor Rachel Reeves will urge G7 finance and energy ministers on Monday to boost investment in renewables and nuclear power to reduce long-term dependence on volatile fossil fuel markets. While the government rejected new North Sea drilling licences as ineffective at cutting consumer bills, it is actively encouraging investment in existing North Sea oil and gas satellite wells.
