Putin's 'spontaneous' crowd called 'extras' by guard
A recent public appearance by Vladimir Putin has raised eyebrows, suggesting his 'spontaneous' crowd might not be genuine. He was seen emerging from the Cathedral of the Annunciation in Kazan, south-west Russia, where he was met by people described as 'well-wishers'. However, a security guard was overheard referring to these people as 'background actors' during the event.
