Putellas captains London City to emphatic WSL season-opening win over Man Utd

Alexia Putellas, the two-time Ballon d’Or winner, captained London City Lionesses to a dominant victory in their WSL season-opener. The team outclassed Manchester United, who conceded 60% possession and a first-half own goal from Julia Zigiotti Olme. London City secured the win with a second goal from Daniëlle van de Donk, despite a late consolation from Simi Awujo for United.
