Pound sits near a four-week low before Thursday's Bank of England meeting

The currency levelled out at about $1.33 on Wednesday while traders waited for central bank policy updates. Analysts expect the Bank of England to leave borrowing costs unchanged, even after oil prices jumped over 4% following fresh military strikes in the Middle East. Markets are also watching Andy Burnham, Britain's seventh prime minister in ten years, who promised to follow his predecessors' spending rules.
