Pound drops as UK job roles hit 2021 low

Available job roles dropped to 707,000 during the three months leading up to July, reaching their lowest level since 2021. Private business wages grew by 2.8% over the year to June, which is the slowest increase seen since late 2020. This cooling employment data pushed the currency down by 0.1% against the dollar on Tuesday, leaving it at $1.352.
