PM orders justice secretary to keep PC Harper's killers jailed

Premier Andy Burnham has directed his justice minister to devise a method to prevent the early release of PC Andrew Harper's killers. Jessie Cole and Albert Bowers, who received 13-year sentences for manslaughter in 2020, were scheduled for release in January. Lissie Harper, PC Harper's widow, has actively campaigned to oppose their early release.
