PM Burnham asks shops to stop disposable BBQ sales.

Andy Burnham, the Prime Minister, has requested that all stores cease sales of single-use barbecues, aiming to curb wildfires amidst the current heatwave. The request follows a year in which England and Wales have experienced a number of wildfires equal to the total for 2025. Burnham also said the government will consider a temporary ban on disposable barbecues in summer months for the longer term.
