Pilot seriously hurt after light aircraft crashes at airshow

At approximately 2:25pm on Sunday, a light aircraft belonging to the Turbulent Team crashed at Stow Maries Aerodrome in Essex, prompting a response from emergency services. The pilot, who was the only person in the plane, was taken to a London hospital with serious injuries. The Air Accidents Investigation Branch (AAIB) is aware of the incident and will send an inspector for an initial assessment.
