Pakistan suicide bomber kills 12, gunmen target ambulance
At a police checkpoint in northwestern Pakistan on Saturday, an explosives-laden vehicle was detonated by a suicide bomber, resulting in the deaths of at least 12 people and injuries to approximately 35 others. Gunmen then opened fire on an ambulance transporting victims, killing a rescue worker and hurting two more. The attack was claimed by the Pakistani Taliban, whose formal name is Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan.
