Over 40 charities warn against cutting disabled youth benefits
More than 40 leading UK charities have urged ministers not to cut benefits or impose tougher sanctions on disabled young people. They fear a previous proposal to remove the health element of Universal Credit for under-22s with a disability could be brought back. Charities say cutting support risks pushing thousands of vulnerable young people deeper into poverty and further from work.
