OpenAI's long-serving COO Brad Lightcap is leaving the company

Brad Lightcap, a key executive who joined OpenAI in 2018, is departing the AI lab to begin a new venture. He previously served as chief financial officer for four years before becoming chief operating officer in 2022. Lightcap's exit follows other recent high-level departures, including Fidji Simo in July.
