OpenAI Closes Sora Video App After Safety Worries

Users of the Sora video app won't be able to create new short films, with details expected soon on how to save existing content. OpenAI announced the app's immediate shutdown on Tuesday, 25 March, following widespread concerns about AI-generated deepfakes and nonconsensual images. Its closure follows three months after Disney's three-year deal covering 200-plus licensed characters.
