One in ten women suffer womb pain
Many women experience painful, heavy and irregular periods due to adenomyosis, a womb condition where the uterus lining grows into the muscle. Sufferers often feel their pain is dismissed by doctors, leading to an average diagnosis delay of 11 years. At least one in ten women live with this, and some describe the pain as "bone-grinding."
