Oman joins UK, France to secure Strait of Hormuz.

Safer shipping could help keep oil moving through a key sea route used by many countries. Oman agreed with the UK and France on Saturday to help protect its territorial waters, while both European countries said they were prepared to support wider navigation efforts in the Strait of Hormuz. France has sent two mine-hunting ships, alongside two frigates and one maritime patrol aircraft.
