Oil prices near $100 as US strikes Iran, Houthis hit tankers

Brent crude oil futures rose by 3% on Thursday, reaching $97.45 per barrel, the highest since May. The US launched its twelfth consecutive night of strikes against Iran, while Iran-aligned Houthis attacked Saudi oil tankers in the Red Sea. These actions have pushed prices up by about 4% this morning.
