NSPCC helpline sees 80% rise in child domestic abuse calls

The NSPCC helpline received 8,448 contacts about children experiencing domestic abuse last year, an 80% increase in five years. Reports were up from 4,599 in 2021-2022, with almost a third of these cases referred to local agencies. Paddi Vint, NSPCC Helpline Service Head, said it is alarming to see record levels of adults contacting them.
