Northern train app trial extended for all passengers in Yorkshire

A trial for pay-as-you-go digital train travel in Yorkshire, which uses a phone app to track journeys, has been extended. The limit on passenger numbers has been removed until September 2027, allowing anyone on two Northern services to participate. It's hoped this will help people get the best fare without navigating complex ticketing systems.
