No data breach found after Chinese component detected in Navy drones

The Ministry of Defence says there's no proof of a data breach after a Chinese-made camera component was found in new Royal Navy sea drones. During a routine assessment, the camera transmitted a “heartbeat communication” to a Chinese IP address, which has the potential to include location data. The supplier, Kraken, was given security assurances, but a third-party camera supplier still used Chinese parts.
