NHS urges one million parents to get children vaccinated after measles deaths

The NHS has started a new campaign to get about one million children aged two to 11 vaccinated against measles and other serious childhood illnesses. The drive follows the deaths of two children in England from measles this year, and 801 cases have been reported up to this point in 2026. GPs are set to get in touch with parents of younger children, while older children will receive invitations through the NHS App, text message, email, or post.
