NHS mental health cameras face privacy probe
A privacy watchdog is investigating a camera system in mental health bedrooms, used by nearly half of NHS trusts. The Information Commissioner's Office, Britain's data watchdog, launched an inquiry into Oxevision after lawyers raised data protection concerns. One mother blamed the system for contributing to her daughter's paranoia before she took her own life in 2022.
