Divers will soon be banned from touching or entering British military shipwrecks after the Armed Forces Bill cleared its final Lords stage. The law will automatically label such wrecks protected places, so divers can look but not go inside. More than 100 wrecks already hold the status. Supporters say the change will protect the remains of thousands of sailors who died at sea.
