New AI tools help troops treat battlefield wounds alone

Ukrainian and US teams are developing AI apps to guide soldiers through first aid when medics aren't available. One app, ALICE, uses Google's Gemini to identify injuries from photos and suggest treatment protocols. Another, FieldCare GPT, runs offline on a laptop to avoid detection and provides step-by-step guidance from military medical texts.
