Neuroscientist says Gen Z cognitive skills are declining

Neuroscientist Jared Cooney Horvath observes that Gen Z possesses reduced cognitive capabilities compared to earlier generations, even though the US has allocated more than $30 billion to laptops and tablets for educational institutions. He informed a US Senate committee that this generation represents the first in contemporary history to achieve diminished results on standardised tests. Horvath blames unfettered access to technology for weakening learning environments, with more screen time correlating to worse test scores.
