Netflix raises UK prices; cheapest plan now costs a third more

Netflix has increased its UK subscription costs, with the Standard with Ads plan jumping 33.4% from £5.99 to £7.99 a month. These new prices apply to both new and existing customers from 3 September. The streaming giant said the increases reflect improvements to its entertainment range and service quality for its over 18 million UK subscribers.
