Netflix just edged out the BBC for UK viewers: Ofcom

Ofcom, the media regulator, found that 26% of people open the American app before anything else, just beating the 25% who choose the BBC. Its new yearly report shows that the number of people watching traditional broadcast channels dropped to around 70% in 2025. Older generations are also shifting their habits, with a third of people over 75 now watching YouTube every week.
