Nepal flood deaths pass 1,000 as rescuers search tunnels

The death toll from devastating floods on Nepal's border with Tibet has now exceeded 1,000, with over 3,900 people still missing. Rescuers are trying to find more than 600 workers believed to be trapped in mud-filled tunnels at hydropower sites. On Monday, Nepalese Prime Minister Balendra Shah reported that 279 individuals had been saved from these locations.
