Nearly a third of UK manufacturers hit by cyber-attacks

Almost 30% of British manufacturers or their suppliers experienced a cyber-attack in the last year, often leading to lost production and higher costs. MakeUK, a lobby group, found only half of these companies had a plan to respond to such incidents. The National Cyber Security Centre said no manufacturer can afford to ignore cybersecurity as a critical business priority.
