Mum killed toddler before care could take him

A mum has been found guilty of murdering her 14-month-old son, Oakley, by giving him a fatal mix of drugs. Emma Barnett hid in her loft with Oakley on November 8, 2024, after a court ruled he should be taken into care. She later told police she 'wanted them to think I was in the forest' to stay with him.
