Move every day, not just 150 minutes a week, say NHS experts
Even if you hit the NHS’ 150-minute weekly exercise target, England’s chief medical officer warns it’s not enough if you sit for long periods. New plans, published by all four UK chief medical officers, say adults should be active daily and minimise sedentary time. People using weight-loss drugs also need to do resistance training to avoid losing muscle mass.
