Morning glucagon levels affect how the liver stores blood sugar later

Scientists have determined that the body's glucose processing throughout the day is influenced by breakfast selections. A struggle for the liver to store glucose at the subsequent meal was observed with high morning glucagon levels. Elevated glucagon levels lead to a decrease in glucokinase, an enzyme that assists the liver in sugar uptake.
