Mojtaba Khamenei skips father's Tehran funeral prayer

Many mourners gathered in Tehran as calls for revenge against the US and Israel were heard during funeral events. Mojtaba Khamenei did not attend the prayer service for his father, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, according to a report published on 5 July 2026. Hundreds of thousands attended, and some clerics called for the death of Donald Trump during the ceremony.
