Millions to attend six-day Khamenei funeral in Iran
Millions of Iranians are getting ready for a huge six-day funeral ceremony for Ali Khamenei, Iran’s supreme leader for 36 years. Organisers hope the event, which starts Saturday in Tehran and ends with burial in Mashhad on Thursday, will show national unity and resistance. Tehran’s mayor predicts around 20 million people will attend Monday’s procession, which will cover six miles.
