Millions of households face no universal energy help
Many households across the UK are concerned about rising energy costs this summer, as universal government assistance won't be provided. Chancellor Rachel Reeves indicated millions won't receive blanket support, warning the Iran war creates significant economic challenges. Her goal is to avoid duplicating the previous administration's costly blanket assistance, which incurred expenses of tens of billions, particularly as average annual invoices are projected to increase by £332 starting in July.
