Middlesbrough crematorium needs £1m work to prevent future funeral delays

Middlesbrough's Teesside Crematorium requires £1m of work on its gas cleaning system to avoid disrupting future funerals. A council report says a failure could severely restrict its ability to carry out cremations, causing distress for grieving families. The Labour-led council's executive committee is set to approve the project on Wednesday.
