Meta is testing robots to replace data centre workers
Meta is covertly trialling robots capable of connecting cables and restarting servers in its data centres, current and former employees report. One worker estimates a robot could replace up to 80% of some human workloads, leading to fears among staff about job security. While Meta says it's hiring, a senior manager previously stated the company's "long-term goals" include putting robots in data centres.
