Met Office warns of 25cm snow in northeast

The Met Office has issued fresh yellow warnings for ice across the UK alongside an amber snow warning for northeast England until Thursday evening. Areas including North York Moors and Yorkshire Wolds could see up to 25cm of snow accumulation above 100m elevation. Gusty winds may create occasional blizzard conditions with potential lightning strikes, causing substantial disruption to transport networks and potentially isolating rural communities.
