Mercedes-Benz lowers its yearly car sales forecast after a 30% drop in China

Despite overall group profits rising by 22% to €1.55 billion between April and June, its core car division struggled. Fierce competition and low demand across China led the German manufacturer to predict full-year global deliveries will fall by up to 7.5%. The carmaker is also looking to expand into military transport, signing a partnership agreement with the German defence company TYTAN.
