McLaren is spending £450m to create 1,000 jobs at its Woking base
The UK supercar brand has a current workforce of 2,500 people, and these new positions will cover both agency and indirect staff. It brings some rare good news to the British motor trade, arriving just days after Jaguar Land Rover announced 4,000 cuts. Other European manufacturers are also struggling, with Volkswagen planning to shed 100,000 global workers by 2030.
