Maternal vaccine cuts baby RSV hospital admissions 80%.

Babies born to vaccinated mothers are getting excellent protection from respiratory syncytial virus (RSV). A recent study reported by UK health officials indicates hospital admissions for RSV among babies have fallen by over 80% since the pregnancy vaccine was offered in 2024. This protection reaches almost 85% if the pregnancy jab is given a minimum of four weeks before the baby's birth.
